Father Nature was tasked to turn this barren piece of playground tarmac into an oasis of green with some shade for the school kids to play and learn in.

We built a robust shelter and placed 'nature islands' around it, full of trees, plants and hoes for bugs, safe from children's stamping feet. This provides little habitats for insects - and kids to observe it, and in time, the trees will replace the wood structure forming a natural outdoor classroom with walls and ceilings made of living material.
